CABARET | January 19 - February 5, 2017

Hillbarn Theatre – the Peninsula's premier theatre company – kicks off 2017 with John Kander and Fred Ebb’s acclaimed musical masterpiece, Cabaret.  The scene is the Kit Kat Klub, a night club in Berlin, as the 1920s are drawing to a close. The Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret. Cliff, a young American writer, meets Sally Bowles, a vivacious cabaret performer. Sally and Cliff begin a relationship, which blossoms unexpectedly into a dream-like romance. As time passes, however, life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more troubled and the atmosphere of the Kit Kat Klub begins to change dramatically.

Starring Melissa WolfKlain* (Hillbarn Theatre’s Funny Girl, North Coast Rep’s Romance/Romance) as Sally Bowles, Keith Pinto* (San Jose Stage Company’s The 39 Steps, San Francisco Playhouse’s Company) as Emcee and Brad Satterwhite (Hillbarn Theatre’s A Few Good Men and Legally Blonde) as Cliff, Cabaret is the winner of 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical and features some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Mein Herr,” “Maybe This Time,” “The Money Song” and “Two Ladies.”
