CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL RETURNS TO JACK LONDON SQUARE FOR ITS SECOND YEAR

The Cinco de Mayo Festival will return to the Oakland waterfront for its second year on Saturday, May 4 from 12–7 p.m. The festival will feature Latin performances and entertainment including traditional Folklorico dancing, traditional Aztec dancing from In Lak'ech Danza Azteca, lowrider cars, dancing horses, wrestling, performances from Oakland Unified School District students, music from local radio stations, family-friendly activities, and more.

INAUGURAL MUSH CONCERT SERIES COMES TO JACK LONDON SQUARE

Jack London Square will host the inaugural MUSH Concert Series on the Marina Lawn from 6:30–9 p.m. every other Thursday beginning May 9 and running through September 19, 2019. Presented by BFF.fm, a community radio station with the mission of championing the Bay Area music scene, the free festival will feature artists that represent the vibrant, eclectic, intersectional, and positive energy of Oakland, which is quickly becoming a hub of Bay Area indie music.

FARMHOUSE KITCHEN THAI CUISINE OAKLAND PRESENTS FIRST-EVER SONGKRAN FESTIVAL AT JACK LONDON SQUARE

Michelin-recognized Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine will host its first-ever Songkran Festival on the Oakland waterfront Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9:30 a.m.–10 p.m. The festival is a traditional celebration of the Thai, Lao, and Myanmar New Year in which parents and ancestors are honored through art, food, and festivities.

SECOND SATURDAY RETURNS TO JACK LONDON SQUARE FOR SECOND YEAR

Following a successful first season, Jack London Square announced today that Second Saturday will return to the Oakland waterfront beginning Saturday, April 13, 2019. AYESHA CURRY TO OPEN EXCLUSIVE POP-UP SHOP AT JACK LONDON SQUARE

Jack London Square announced that Ayesha Curry will bring her first-ever retail store HOMEMADE to Oakland’s waterfront just in time for Valentine’s Day. The exclusive pop-up will feature a variety of quality goods and home products that include her signature bedding collection, eponymous line of cookware and bakeware, a line of kitchen textiles, accessories, and indoor gardening kits. ANNUAL HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING RETURNS TO JACK LONDON SQUARE

Jack London Square will celebrate the start of the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 30 from 5–9 p.m. Oakland’s favorite annual holiday tradition promises to deliver holiday magic to the Oakland waterfront with the lighting of the spectacular 55-foot Mount Shasta Fir Tree adorned with 5,000 sparking white lights and 600 colorful ornaments. Thousands of people will gather for the event, which will feature live music and entertainment from local musicians and arts groups, holiday pop-up shops, and a special appearance by Santa Claus!

BOO! BARK, BREWS + BITES AT JACK LONDON SQUARE BRINGS DOG-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES TO THE OAKLAND WATERFRONT

Jack London Square announced the fourth annual Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites, a fun-filled Halloween celebration for pets and their humans filled with tricks, treats, frights and delights, held on Saturday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jack London Square’s charity partner Canine Companions for Independence returns this year as co-host of the annual DogFest Walk ‘n Roll Bay Area coinciding with Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites. DogFest Walk ‘n Roll is a dog and family-friendly quarter mile walk along the waterfront of Jack London Square celebrating Canine Companions for Independence, the national non-profit organization that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities, free of charge. By bringing the two events together, Jack London Square ensures an unforgettable community celebration of man’s best friend, while raising awareness and funds for puppy-friendly initiatives in the Bay Area. Both Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites and DogFest Walk ‘n Roll Bay Area are open to the public and free to attend, with food and beverage available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit Canine Companions for Independence.

Jack London Square announced the soft opening of the Oakland location of the Michelin-recognized Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine, which will be fully operating beginning Wednesday, August 1. JACK LONDON SQUARE CELEBRATES CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDING AND NEW DEVELOPMENTS

Jack London Square celebrated the groundbreaking for construction of the new Jack London Square Apartment Building, anticipated to open in 2020. Located near the corner of Harrison Street and Embarcadero West, the eight-story residential development will include 333 units consisting of studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, with the ground floor dedicated to retail. Jack London Square announced that it is now home to four statues from the Oakland Athletics’Stomper in the Town” art project in honor of the team’s 50 years in Oakland.
